01–How is working with Emily O’Gorman Travel different from booking on my own?
My most popular destinations include Italy, France, Greece, Mexico, and the Caribbean, though I plan travel around the world through my network of trusted partners. I’m continuously on the road visiting properties, meeting with hoteliers and guides, and attending industry events to stay connected to the destinations I recommend. By combining that expertise with long-term client relationships, I’m able to thoughtfully pair each traveler with experiences that feel perfectly matched to them — wherever their journey leads.
02–What destinations do you specialize in?
For Europe, I recommend beginning the planning process 9–12 months in advance, especially for popular destinations or peak travel seasons. For Mexico and the Caribbean, 6–8 months is ideal to secure preferred hotels and room categories. Planning ahead ensures the best availability, value, and overall experience.
03–How far in advance should I start planning my trip?
The first step is to schedule a complimentary consultation. During our call, we’ll get to know each other and discuss the trip you have in mind — where you want to go, how you like to travel, and what you’re hoping to experience. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your travel style and preferences, and we’ll also review my planning and research fee.
After our call, I’ll send a detailed follow-up email recapping everything we discussed, including next steps and how we can work together. From there, you can decide if you’d like to move forward and partner with me to bring your trip to life.
04–I’m ready to start talking about a trip — what do I do next?
Most of the time, no — rates are the same as what you’ll see online or occasionally even lower. If I can’t match a specific rate, I’ll always let you know and advise you to book directly. My goal is to ensure you get the best value and benefits available.
05–Will I pay more for a hotel booked with you?
Total trip costs for custom multi-destination itineraries typically start around $650 per person per day, depending on destination, season, and level of accommodation. This estimate is inclusive of hotels, ground transportation, activities, and curated experiences. Every itinerary is completely personalized, and I’ll provide a clear cost estimate during our travel consultation call.
